Reportedly, Shehnaaz Gill was present when Sidharth passes away. She was the first person who saw Sidharth lying down unconsciously on Thursday morning. She also tried to call up and wake him up by making him lay on her lap but he was long gone. Upon realising that he had turned cold, she immediately informed his mother and they called up his sister and their family doctor, where he was confirmed dead.

A report says, “Shehnaaz told the police that she tried desperately to wake up Sidharth. His head was in her lap. But his body had turned cold. That’s when Shehnaaz realised he was gone. Much before they reached Cooper Hospital,”

Earlier, Shehnaaz’s father also confirmed to media about how pale she turned after the death of Sidharth Shukla. He said, “I spoke to her. She is not fine. My son Shehbaaz has left for Mumbai to be with her and I will be going later. I am not in the condition to talk right now. I cannot believe whatever has happened.”

Ever since then, all eyes have been on Shilpa Shetty and her family. Finally, today (August 2), Shilpa released her first official statement since Raj Kundra’s arrest. The actress shared a statement on all of her social media platforms stating her thoughts and clearing accusations. She wrote that she had not given quotes to anyone on the issue and would continue to refrain from talking about the issue as it is sub-judice.

She wrote, ‘‘Yes! The past few days have been challenging, on every front. There have been a lot of rumours and accusations. “A lot of unwarranted aspersions on me were cast by the media and (not so) well-wishers as well. A lot of trolling/questions posed… not only to me but also to my family.
MY STAND… HAVE NOT COMMENTED YET
and will continue to refrain from doing so in this case as it is sub-judice, so please stop attributing false quotes on my behalf. Reiterating my philosophy of, as a celebrity “Never never explain’. All I will say is, as it’s an ongoing investigation, I have full faith in the Mumbai Police & the judiciary. As a family, we are taking recourse to all our available legal remedies”.

She further added, “But, till then I humbly request you – especially as a MOTHER – to respect our privacy for my children’s sake and request you to refrain from commenting on half-baked information without verifying the veracity of the same, I am a proud law-abiding Indian citizen and a hardworking professional for the last 29 years. People have put their faith in ME & I’ve never let anyone down. So, most importantly, I request you to respect my family’s and ‘my right’ to privacy in these times. We don’t deserve a media trial. Please let the law take its course. Satyameva Jayate. with positivity and gratitude.”

Shilpa Shetty recently approached Bombay High Court seeking a plea to restrain media personnel and media houses from publishing “incorrect, false, malicious and defamatory” content. She also sought damages of Rs. 25 crores in the defamation suit and an unconditional apology from media outlets.

The Mumbai Crime Branch has not yet found any pieces of evidence that substantiates Shilpa’s active role in the adult film racket case. The 45-year-old businessman was first arrested on July 19 for the production and distribution of pornography. He is currently in 14-day judicial custody.
