Netflix released the trailer of its next comedy-thriller – Looop Lapeta. The trailer takes you on an eventful journey as Savi (played by Taapsee Pannu) tries to save her boyfriend Satya (played by Tahir Raj Bhasin) when he loses cash belonging to a mobster. Savi races against the clock to save the day — if only she can make the correct choices as Satya’s freedom depends on it. Looop Lapeta is directed by Aakash Bhatia and will premiere on February 4, 2022, only on Netflix!

Taapsee Pannu’s reaction however was pretty much the same, she stated this film is very close to her heart, just like she says for all the others films she has been part of, “Looop Lapeta is a film that will always be very close to my heart. I fell in love with the characters and the story the moment I read the script! The film is about the choices that Savi makes and how her decisions carve out her journey with the one she loves. A perfect combination of comedy and thriller, Loop Lapeta will keep you at the edge of your seat, while you rejoice at the comical situation that Savi and Satya have gotten into. Can’t wait to bring this to audiences worldwide on Netflix!’

Tahir Raj Bhasin is elated to have his second project released on Netflix said, “I am so excited to now begin the adrenalin rush of Satya and Savi’s rollercoaster ride against time. A screen adaptation of Tom Tykwer’s celebrated cult classic ‘Run Lola Run’ Loop Lapeta is the directorial feature debut of Aakash Bhatia. Produced by Sony Pictures Films India and Ellipsis Entertainment along with Aayush Maheshwari, Looop Lapeta is a fully packaged entertainer that brings together the elements of comedy, thriller and romance, all in one film.

Rashmi Rocket which also stars Priyanshu Painyuli will be available from 15th October on ZEE5 Premium. Directed by Akarsh Khurana, the film will see Taapsee playing the role of a sprinter. The sports drama is being produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Neha Anand and Pranjal Khandhdiya and also features actor and casting director Abhishek Banerjee. 

The film’s shoot had commenced last year and was shot across Pune and Mumbai. The actress underwent a massive physical transformation for this role and has documented her physical transformation journey for her fans and followers. Taapsee had revealed that she found it difficult on the third day of the shoot to even walk. She also reminisced about her school sports days and revealed that when she started shooting for Rashmi Rocket it was almost like ‘Deja Vu’.

Apart from this sports drama, the actress is currently filming a cricket biopic ‘Shabaash Mithu’ based on cricketer Mithali Raj. Other than that, Taapsee has numerous films lined up for releases such as Blurr, Looop Lapeta, Jana Gana Mana, Dobaaraa, Alien and Mishan Impossible. She was last seen in ‘Annabelle Sethupathi’.

Taapsee Pannu tweeted, “It’s silver for our Ravi Dahiya!” with several hand clap emojis. Kareena Kapoor Khan also praised Dahiya as she shared a photo of the Indian wrestler flying the Indian flag high.

The cricketers biopic is now to be directed by Srijit Mukherjee after the raees director Rahul Dholakia opted out, stated Etimes. Moreover Etimes was the first to report Taapsee’s role in this film. Dholakia before opting out had completed 30% of the film in the Ramoji Roa Studio of Hyderabad. Now not knowing the process these scenes might be shot again under Srijit’s direction and guidance.

The shoot of this biopic had been put to an halt in Hyderabad because of the 2nd Covid wave but all hands down the film might start it’s shoot soon in the studios again. A source revealed “Their next shoot stop was Bengaluru, where a Kannada star would have joined the cast,”
After the break on being shot again, would the first half of the film’s direction would still be of Dholakia? Or would Srijit cut and shoot again the done part?

“In the last seven years, I’ve always been on the lookout to be part of the stories I want to see myself as an audience. Movies that I will spend my time and money on and ‘Mishan Impossible’ is one of them,” shares Taapsee Pannu in a statement.

“Mishan Impossible has an impressive storyline and a good team behind it”, she adds.

The film is set in a remote village near Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, the music of the film will be composed by Mark K Robin and centers around bounty hunters. ‘Mishan Impossible’ will go into production soon.
