Earlier in June, Ghanashyam’s son Vikas Nayak confirmed the news of his cancer. While stating his father was doing fine, Vikas had added that he has to undergo chemotherapy sessions once a month. He had then said, “In April, we did a positron emission tomography scan of his neck, in which again some spots were found. He did not have any discomfort or pain in any way. But we did not want to take any risk, because of that we have started his chemotherapy sessions again. This treatment is being done from the same hospital and doctor from whom he was earlier. Papa is completely fine, just once a month we take him to the hospital for the session and will get a PET scan done again next month. I hope those spots are gone.”

The veteran actor told the portal, “I am feeling fine but yes, the treatment has also started again. Currently, the chemotherapy session is going on. After almost four months I shot a special scene in Daman last week and Believe me I had a lot of fun there. As per the storyline at present, Natukaka is in his village and from there he makes a call to Jethalal. I went to Gujarat for a day just to shoot this call sequence. Episode one will be telecast in two days. Right now I am waiting to start shooting in Mumbai, I am very positive.”

If a report published in ETimes said, “Their respective families too, are not in the dark. Nobody teases them; they don’t try to steal moments with each other. The love story is old and one wonders how it hasn’t come out till date.” But now it seems to be just a rumour or that this duo wishes to seek privacy on it.

Munmun has now broken her silence and has shared two separate notes (which she later deleted) slamming trollers and the media fraternity. In one for the general public, she wrote: “To the general public, I had far better expectations from you. But the FILTH that you have showered in the comment section, even from the so-called ‘LITERATE’ ones proves how regressive a society we are.”

So next time someone is clinically depressed or driven to take their own lives, pause and think whether it was YOUR WORDS that drove that person to the edge or not (sic),” she added, concluding: “Today, I am ashamed of calling myself a DAUGHTER OF INDIA.”

She also addressed the media saying: “To the media and their zero credibility ‘journos’, who has given u the right to post ‘IMAGINARY’ ‘MADE UP’ articles in people’s name about their private life without their consent? R u liable to the damage that you cause to their lives with your reckless behaviour? You don’t stop at shoving your cameras on the face of a grieving woman who has just lost her love or lost her son, in a funeral, just for your trps. You can stoop to any level to create sensational articles/ headlines at the cost of someone’s dignity, but R U GOING TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR WRECKING HAVOC IN THEIR LIVES?? If No then, YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF!!”
