Veteran actress Saira Banu who is the wife of the late Yusuf Khan alias Dilip Kumar has been undergoing treatment at the hospital since she suffered from heart attack three days back. During the entire treatment, she got her family members by her side.

Recently the actress lost her husband on July 7, 2021 and he was admitted to Hindhuja hospital where he closed his eyes. Dilip Kumar’s last ritual was held with full state of honours where several celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar, Shabana Azmi, Madhur Bhandarkar, and others were spotted at his residence, to pay last respects to the legend.

Talking about her career, Saira Banu is one of the most notable actresses of Bollywood with films like Padosan, Junglee, Purab aur Paschim and many others in her name.

The veteran actress had said in an interview that she is not having sufficient money has used all her savings on her ailing health.

Felling pity on her, actress Supriya Pilgaonkar has extended her helping hand to the lady. Nupoor Alankar, who was taking care of Savita Bajaj revealed to Times of India, “Supriya Pilgaonkar has come forward and helped and some committee members of CINTAA too have pitched in so that we can pay some portion of the hospital,”

Speaking on Bajaj’s health Nupoor Pilgaonkar says that she is still on oxygen support and need financial help and if she fails to pay hospital bill on time, her treatment will be delayed.

The 79 year old actress seeks help from his colleagues and friends for her recovery. We hope Savita Ji make recover soon and return her house safely.

The veteran actress had also appeared in various projects like Badhai Ho, Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil etc. The actress made her debut in the year 1978 political drama film Kissa Kursi Ka and later played various supporting roles in Hindi and Malayalam films.

Sureksha Sikri was born in 19 April 1945 and won several awards that includes National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress, MORE. The actress gained her popularity in the primetime soap opera Balika Vadhu for which she was awarded the Indian Telly Award for Best Actress in a Negative Role in 2008 and Indian Telly Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in 2011. She had also done theatres, and won Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1989 for her contributions towards Hindi theater. The actress was last seen in the Netflix anthology Ghost Stories which was directed by Zoya Akhtar.

The veteran actor was suffering for quite a long time and had suffered a brain stroke in 2020 and a paralytic stroke earlier in 2018. Her manager confirmed the news of her death to indianexpress.com. He said, “Three-time national award winning actress, Surekha Sikri has passed away following a cardiac arrest earlier this morning at the age of 75. She had been suffering from complications arising from a second brain stroke. She was surrounded by family and her caregivers. The family asks for privacy at this time. Om Sai Ram.”
