Shilpa shared the post with the caption: ‘Live every moment.’ The actress shared an extract from a book that talked about ‘Time out’.The quote in it read, “Even if we could call a timeout when life becomes stressful, would we really want to? Our life’s clock keeps ticking no matter what. The only thing we truly have is time. Better to live every moment than to lose that time forever.” It concluded with, “As much as I may want to call a timeout in my life, I will live every moment as fully as I can.”

Recently, the Hungama 2 actress returned to the sets of Super Dancer 4 after taking a brief break from work since Raj Kundra’s arrest on July 19. Kundra is currently under judicial custody. He has been named as a key conspirator by the Mumbai Police and is currently booked under the following: Sections 420 (cheating), 34 (common intention), 292, and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in addition to relevant sections of the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.

According to reports, Bombay HC’s judge Justice AS Gadkari  said, “The remand for custody by the Metropolitan Magistrate is within the conformity of the law and does not require any interference.”Following his arrest and subsequent police custody, Kundra filed an appeal against the same at Bombay High Court. The businessman’s lawyers claimed that his arrest in the matter was “illegal.”

Other than that, Raj Kundra and Ryan Thorpe’s bail plea application is scheduled to be heard in Mumbai Session Court on August 10. Raj has been under judicial custody ever since he was arrested on July 19 for his alleged involvement in the creation and distribution of pornographic content. 

Recently, actress Sherlyn Chopra was called for an interrogation round by the property cell of the Mumbai Crime Branch. Sherlyn claimed after questioning that she was asked about her and Raj Kundra’s ‘sambandh’ and what other companies he owned. “I want justice for all the women and artists who have been victims of this pornography racket,” said Sherlyn.

During the hearing on Tuesday, a Mumbai Session court did not grant interim relief to Gehana.
As per ANI, there will be no interim relief for the actress. The court has set a date for the next hearing on August 06.
“Pornography case: No interim relief for Gehana Vasisth by Mumbai Sessions court, next date of hearing 6th August,” tweeted ANI. She filed a pre-arrest bail plea last week over fears of being arrested.

Vasisth’s lawyer Sunil Kumar also explained the pre-arrest bail. In an interview, he said, “We have moved the court for a pre-arrest anticipatory bail as there was a chance that she would have been arrested by the police.”

The 45-year-old businessman was arrested on July 19 for his alleged connection in the creation and distribution of pornographic content.

On Monday, actress Shilpa Shetty finally released her first official statement post her husband’s arrest.

Shilpa wrote: ‘‘Yes! The past few days have been challenging, on every front. There have been a lot of rumours and accusations. “A lot of unwarranted aspersions on me were cast by the media and (not so) well-wishers as well. A lot of trolling/questions posed… not only to me but also to my family.
MY STAND… HAVE NOT COMMENTED YET
and will continue to refrain from doing so in this case as it is sub-judice, so please stop attributing false quotes on my behalf. Reiterating my philosophy of, as a celebrity “Never never explain’. All I will say is, as it’s an ongoing investigation, I have full faith in the Mumbai Police & the judiciary. As a family, we are taking recourse to all our available legal remedies”.

She further added, “But, till then I humbly request you – especially as a MOTHER – to respect our privacy for my children’s sake and request you to refrain from commenting on half-baked information without verifying the veracity of the same, I am a proud law-abiding Indian citizen and a hardworking professional for the last 29 years. People have put their faith in ME & I’ve never let anyone down. So, most importantly, I request you to respect my family’s and ‘my right’ to privacy in these times. We don’t deserve a media trial. Please let the law take its course. Satyameva Jayate. with positivity and gratitude.”

At the moment, the crime branch has not found any evidence that proves Shilpa’s involvement in the case. The actress was interrogated for hours, where she maintained her stance and said she didn’t know the nature of the content being published on HotShots and other apps.

According to reports, Mumbai Police has transferred the case, which was registered at the Malvani Police Station, to the Property Cell. In a statement to ANI with regards to the Pornography case, Mumbai Police said, “Case registered against 3 producers of the company of businessman & actor Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra & actor Gehana Vasisth handed over to the Property Cell of Mumbai Police Crime Branch. The case was registered at Malvani Police Station”. The property cell filed an adult film racket case in February earlier this year after it raided a bungalow on Madh Island and arrested five people in the case, including Gehana Vasisth.

Apart from that, the crime branch has raided Shilpa and Raj Kundra’s Juhu residence and office. The branch claims to have seized around 70 porn videos and several concealed files shot and owned by Raj Kundra and his former PA Umesh Kamat. While Shilpa is also under the scanner. As of yet, the branch has not found any evidence indicating her active role in the racket. 

As per the Mid-Day report, a police official said, “She (Shilpa Shetty) said that the movies available on Hotshot are not pornography but erotica. She also said that nowadays, similar content is available on the various OTT platforms and in fact, some are more obscene than what is available on Hotshot.”

Recently, the former Bollywood actress Somy Ali also reacted to the whole case and said that she doesn’t judge people who choose porn as their profession as long as no one is sexually trafficked.

Meanwhile, the case shocked everyone, including the former actress. Somy wondered why a country, where the Kama Sutra originated, would ban porn.

In a conversation with a news portal, Somy said that, ”The mere taboo of talking about sex or porn ignites more curiosity. Personally, I don’t judge those who choose porn as their profession as long as no one is hurt or sexually trafficked. It is pivotal that there shouldn’t be any sort of coercion. Otherwise, what anyone chooses to do sexually is none of my or anyone’s business. We have no right to judge anyone. I have nothing against people who engage in pornography or those who make it their profession.”

While expressing her thoughts, she further added that, ”sensual scenes have become very common on web series and OTT platforms. This is a major reason why censorship on these platforms has become the talk of the town”.

Somy, who has currently turned into a humanitarian with her NGO, also believes that it’s high time that we talk about sex education in this country. “I deem this to be a cinematic and artistic progression. Intimate love has no meaning without intimacy, hence, kissing or depicting scenes of passion should and must be a norm. It’s a step forward and it’s about time that in 2021 we are able to create such art and be more realistic when it comes to the normalcy of humans being sexual creatures. The more nonchalant our attitude is towards something; the fewer people will have to hide from wanting to admit to what they like or dislike such as watching porn. I must be emphatic that while I don’t judge anyone, it is absolutely unacceptable to me if the artist is being harmed in any pornographic ventures. Other than that I’ve absolutely nothing against porn,” she explains.

Raj Kundra has been sent to 14 days of judicial custody. Meanwhile, the cases against Raj Kundra are registered under the sections of the Indian Penal Code, Information Technology Act, and Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) A.

The crime branch also claims that Raj Kundra’s two bank accounts have been frozen by them.
They have even requested the victims to come forward, but one has till now.

Police also reported that they have found mobile and Macbook chats between Ryan and Kundra. The chats provide details about revenue and profits earned through the app ‘Hotshots’. For the unversed, the ‘Hotshots’ application was used to distribute adult films.

According to IANS, Raj is the owner of Viaan Industries Limited, while Pradeep Bakshi — a British citizen who is married to Kundra’s sister — is the chairman of Kenrin Ltd., London. Both companies worked on a mobile app called ‘HotShots Digital Entertainment’, developed by Kenrin Ltd.

As per sources, Raj Kundra allegedly supplied all the content for the app and controlled the UK firm from his Viaan Industries office. Raj Kundra and the entire team earned an average profit of Rs 5 lakh per pornographic video released on the application. Police have frozen Rs. 7.5 crore in various accounts related to Raj Kundra.

Kundra was charged with cheating and displaying obscene and indecent advertisements and displays under the Indian Penal Code (IPC), sections of the IT Act and the Indecent Presentation of Women (Probation) Act.

According to reports, Raj Kundra’s Citibank and Kotak Mahindra bank accounts have been frozen.
Police claim that Kundra had anticipated his arrest after the crime branch arrested nine people in connection with the pornography case. Along with that Kundra also had a ‘Plan B’ prepared for his escape.

During the raid on Kundra’s office on July 24, the crime branch found foreign transaction files. The crime branch has hired a financial auditor to trace back the transactions from Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra’s accounts.

Kundra changed his phone in March so no data can be recovered. When crime branch officials asked him about his old phone, he told them he threw it away. Police believe the old phone contains many important pieces of evidence and are looking into it,” ANI quoted an official as saying.

On Wednesday, the Bombay High Court will hear Raj Kundra’s plea challenging his police custody and seeking bail.
