Keeping in mind the power of social media, we are here to talk about Ranu Mondal, a poor lady from West Bengal’s Ranaghat. She used to live in the station and making a living out of that. The life of this lady changed when a video went viral, where she was singing the iconic Lata Mangeshkar song ‘Ek Pyar Nagma Hai’ at the railway station. Soon with the support of singer and music Composer Himesh Reshamiya, Ranu started singing songs for him and one of the songs called, “Teri Meri Kahani” was released in his film titled, ‘Happy Hardy And Heer’ in 2020. After this the new singer in Btown was invited in many singing reality shows and she gained both fame and trolls. Though this fame was short lived, soon everyone forgot about the singer and the rest is history. Now the life story of Ranu is being created to hit the big screens. Being directed by Hrishikesh Mondal, the biopic is titled as ‘Miss Ranu Maria’ starring actress Eshika Dey.

Eshika being a good actress has appeared on screen before in many bengali and hindi films. She was even a part of Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Lal Kaptan’
As stated by Times of India, Eshika said, “I wasn’t their first choice. It was Sudipta di (Chakraborty) who was supposed to be in the biopic, it was published everywhere in 2019, I guess. Maybe due to some problem with her schedule dates, Sudipta has stepped down. The film plan has been through a lot. It was initially planned in 2019 then 2020 happened and the lockdown was there. Now it’s being made in Hindi instead of Bengali. This time they approached me and I really had no idea. It was Shomin Ghosh who approached me and that’s it!”

Further the actress added, saying she is very excited about the film but she is afraid she’ll have to reduce 10kgs within 2 months for the film.  The actress said, “I’m going on a strict diet for 2 months, starting tomorrow with my dietician. Actually, this is the only thing about the film that I’m scared about. I love food and going by my social media posts, you will understand how much I love cooking and eating. Apart from food, there’s also going to be a whole change in my lifestyle with lots of exercise and meditation. It’s going to be a challenge with my personal life, as I stay alone in Mumbai; I don’t even have a maid or boyfriend.”

The film will start its shooting in November and is expected to release in theaters somewhere around March-April 2022. Let’s see how well the biopic would do. Would it face trolls or would it get the love it deserves after all the efforts the crew would make for the success of this film.

We received the pictures of our youngest pataudi, Jehangir Ali Khan. The little baby is seen enjoying the warmth of his nanny in a blue coloured onesie in the arms of his nanny.  This is the same nanny who was in charge of taking care of Taimur when he was younger and this made the lady very famous. Her name is Savitri and she was seen taking Taimur all across the city. Now we expect to see her with baby Jeh everytime and everywhere.

The funny thing is that many people are comparing her to the CM of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee. When Viral Bhayani uploaded a video of Nanny Savitri holding Baby Jeh in her arms fans loved it but some went around laughing at it saying, “Magar ye mamta banerjee kyu hath me utha ke le ja rahi he usko,” while another one wrote, “Ye Mamata Benarji He Kya {Didi}.” Even someone else had the same statement. The person wrote, “Wo sab to thik h pr mamta banrjee ko bachha sambhalne ko rkh liya saif ne wow gzb paisa hai yr.” Another one asked why the same nanny was employed twice and people should give chances to ‘fresh talent’.

Kareena’s trip to Maldives with her family has gained a lot of love and affection on social media and so has her kids for the same.

Though Mitra, 74, did not contest the recently held Assembly elections, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee handed the Finance portfolio to Mitra, who has held the post since 2011, when the TMC came to power in Bengal.

Since he is not an MLA, Mitra can remain in his post for a maximum of six months unless he contests – and wins a by-election.

A senior Trinamool leader said on condition of anonymity, “Amit Mitra will complete six months as state finance minister in the Mamata Banerjee cabinet on November 4. As he is a non-MLA minister, he will have to leave the post after six months or seek election through bypolls. However, he has informed the party that he does not want to continue as state minister post November 4 due to ill-health.”

Sources said Banerjee is likely to keep the finance portfolio till she finds someone suitable to take charge as the next Finance Minister.

Mitra was not present for the vote-on-account in February and during the tabling of the state budget last week. Banerjee had presented on his behalf in February while state Parliamentary Affairs Minister Partha Chatterjee tabled the budget last week.
