A 25-year-old actress was arrested by Versova Police in Mumbai for allegedly assaulting a minor house help. If media reports are to be believed the struggling actress disrobed her and tortured her house help.
According the reports, the actress assaulted her for not doing the house chore properly. She also took off her clothes and beat her up with a sandal. The reports also state that the accused stayed in a rented apartment in the Versova suburb of Mumbai alone in an apartment.
ANI tweeted, “A 25-year- old actress arrested by Versova Police for assaulting a minor house-help for delay in work. As per the victim, the accused beat her up with sandals: Mumbai Police.”

An ETimes report stated that complainant revealed to the police that she was assaulted by the lady who claims to be a struggling actress by profession a lot of times when she didn’t do her work properly. However, she had not reported these incidents earlier until now when she made her take off her clothes and then filmed her and took photos of her.
The report further stated that the victim was assaulted by a sandal and sustained marks of injury on her head and has also been taken to the hospital.
The cops had registered an FIR after the minor’s sister saw the injuries and inquired about them. The First Information Report has been filed under section 26 (assault), 354 (B) ((Assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe)) and 504 (intentional insult) of the Indian Penal Code and under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).
The police have now stated that after the minor victim and her sister approached the police, they lodged the complained and have arrested the actress who will remain in custody till Monday. It has also been reported that the lady was well aware of the fact that the girl was a minor and yet she appointed her as the house help and made her do the house chores
